graduates to submit their immunization
records.
(2) Rely on CUNYFirst query reports for accurate student immunization
status.
(1) Prescreening of students process continues to be discontinued due to
College Office Assistant position not replaced. Current process involves
relying on DOE CUNYFirst conversions and downloads, CIR online
database, and registration appointment list received the day prior of
appointment. Walk-in immunization acquisition will be accomplished
with additional RN requested.
(2) Provide vaccinations for registering
students by appointment to assist in their
registration/advisement process.
Medical Withdrawals

York State Compliance.

First Aid Treatment and
Counseling/Off-Campus
Referrals – Volume and
quality of service (first aid
logs, office customer service

Offer a wide array of important
health workshops relevant to the
student population to educate as
well as to assist in retention. An
additional goal is to promote future
health knowledge to our student
body.
Provide on the spot quality first aid

(3)Provide medical emergency services and assist with vaccination and
health promotion events
(1) Attempt to maintain the number of successful events for next year.
Compared to last year’s report, the Office
has experienced a significant decrease in the
number of events. Feedback surveys

re-admission of academically dismissed students due to WU grades and

(1) 100% health insurance coverage for the
QCC student athlete population.
(2) The Office will continue to have an open door policy where members
of the campus community are able to consult with a nurse on personal
health issues and concerns. An additional Nurse is recommended and
requested in order to meet the foreseen increase number of students
utilizing Health Services for medical services and campus emergencies. A
decrease in campus community service is directly related to limited part
time nursing coverage despite numerous requests with justifications,
especially with the increase number of students staff and faculty
requesting medical/counseling services.
(1) Continue to work closely with students and health insurance
providers to ensure viable health insurance opportunities.
