Start planning now! Arts Alive 2015 will be Friday, April 3rd at the Clay Center in Charleston,
WV. Performances and exhibited art work in Arts Alive 2015 may still be selected from
professional conferences, festivals and/or exhibits. However, every arts discipline (Dance,
Music, Theatre and Visual Arts) will now also have an alternative submission process for 2015.

West Virginia Art Education Association Annual Conference
On behalf of Sandy Shaw:
Greetings All,
What: WVAEA Fall Conference
When: October 17 & 18, 2014
Where: Parkersburg Art Center
Imagine a weekend of art-making, communicating with other art teachers, getting freebies,
learning new art skills and adding new lesson plan ideas to your repertoire! Now imagine
making new friends, laughing till you cry, going to lunch with adults, and relaxing for 2 days!
These are some of the experiences you will have at the WVAEA Fall Conference! I want to
invite each of you to our Fall Conference this year. This is one of the most important
professional development activities an art teacher can participate in. It is the ONLY professional
development you will attend where you are saturated with art for 2 complete days: making it,
talking about it, learning about new materials, hearing from state leaders and guest speakers!
