1. Essential Standards Writing (Science, Math, Eng 10, Comp Skills and
Occupational Courses of Study)
 Completed an effective and transparent communication plan to
ensure 24 hour information
 Utilizing online collaborative tools to share information with and
gather feedback from content writing committees
 Solicited external feedback regarding current standards via on-line
survey
 Established meeting timelines (face-to-face and electronic) for
content writing committees
 Facilitating meetings with content writing committees
 Approximated breakdown of total participants on content writing
committees: (Science, Math, Eng 10, Comp Skills and Occupational
Courses of Study)

 Collaborating with Dr. Lorin Anderson to ensure the credibility and
validity of the essential standards

 Working on Intent to Contract with LEARN NC to help with moodle
development; meeting with LEARN NC to finalize MOU
 Benchmark tool—moving forward with RFP
 Professional Development Modules, plan for 8 modules in first batch
(open source), establishing working relations, planning PD with John
Ross and Shirley Carraway, arranged for CRESST content reviewer,
developed new evaluation piece to accompany modules in order to
collect teacher feedback
 Summative field test, design & transparency subgroup established

 Compiling internal and external membership and scheduled meetings
each week for Jan. and Feb. and 3 each month afterwards
