Dear Education Leader: During the week of March 19

Dear Education Leader:
During the week of March 19th, every school will
receive a packet of letters from Governor Perdue that
will contain information on how to anonymously
access the 2012 North Carolina Teacher Working Conditions survey. This is a statewide opportunity, now
an integral component of the Race to the Top initiative, for all licensed school-based educators in North
Carolina to provide valuable input on key education issues such as available time, facilities, and resources;
community engagement and support; instructional practices; and more.
DPI will be providing an interactive, informational webinar prior to the launch of the survey targeted for
local school district superintendents on March 20th, 3:45-5:15 PM.
During the webinar, you will receive additional background information about the survey and you will be asked
to provide feedback and comments as we continue outreach across the state in preparation for the March 26th
opening day of the North Carolina TWC Survey . At the end of the webinar, you will receive a set of
PowerPoint slides that will help you share the information about North Carolina TWC Survey with educators
in your area. In the meantime, please visit www.ncteachingconditions.org for further information. Note: Space
is limited to the first 99 participants. The webinar will be recorded and available for download the next day on
www.ncteachingconditions.org.
