Academic Integrity Contract
My signature below identifies that:
1. I have been told where a copy of the Student Handbook for my program and the University Handbook
are located and accessible to me.
2. I agree to abide by all of the information included in the Student Handbook and the University
Handbook especially related to academic integrity.
3. I understand violations of academic integrity include, but are not limited to:
a. NOT completing exams, quizzes, homework assignments and individual projects independently;
b. Assisting in any manner another student with completion of any assignment (exam, quiz or project)
that is to be completed individually and graded individually;
c. Printing and/or copying exams and/or quizzes from Blackboard;
d. Plagiarism of any kind;
e. Failing to report any knowledge of the above.
4. If I breech academic integrity, I will be subject to the University’s Academic Honesty Policy that
outlines the following possible sanctions:
For a first infraction, the sanction may include one of the following four options:
An “F” for the assignment or exam;
Reduction of course grade;
Failure for the entire course with the inability to withdraw or
Other action deemed appropriate by the faculty member. Examples include, but are not
limited to, requiring the student to re-take the exam, re-complete an assignment or
complete an assigned exercise.
In addition, all infractions will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct and Community
Standards and will be part of the student’s disciplinary record (no exceptions).
Any infraction beyond a first offense is subject to the sanctions described above as well as to the
disciplinary sanctions that may be imposed through the University Conduct process.
