Background
On September 23, 2013, the School Board approved a maximum preliminary property tax levy for 2013 (payable
2014). After all adjustments, the total dollar amount of that certification was $78,241,389.90 as shown on the
attachment, which is an increase of $4,456,861.02 or 6.04% from the 2012 (payable 2013) certified levy. This
increase is due to the successful approval of the levy referendum in November.
Recommendation
Certify a total levy for taxes payable in 2014 of $78,241,389.90
Alternatives
Certify a lower amount for the final levy.
