Spotlight on the
Astronomy Club at Mercer
Few people know that Mercer has recently started an Astronomy club. I will
discuss the club and some of our student projects. For example, our students
are working on building their own 8" Dobsonian telescope. We also plan to take
part in NASA's Lunar impact Monitoring Program. I will display some of our
recent equipment acquisitions and discuss our observing site. Weather
permitting, we plan an observation session this Saturday evening (Sept 29).
