Descriptions of Activities
Costume Contest: Each of the teams will have an opportunity to wear costumes. Please
ensure the costumes are appropriate. Jeans and matching shirts are not a costume. If the
entire team wears a costume, they will be awarded a 30 second deduction from their final
relay time. The winners of the costume contest will have the advantage of determining the
order of the participating teams for the relay event.
Pie Auction/Eating Contest: Teams take the opportunity to bid on pies. Once the team “wins”
the bid on a pie, the donors choose someone to participate in the pie-eating contest in their
behalf. The money raised at this event goes into an Open Scholarship through the School of
Ag. The scholarships are given to prospective agriculture students who attend the
department's annual open house event.
Egg Toss: Two participants from each team “toss” a raw egg back and forth from varied
distances, until the egg is dropped. All other teams continue until there is one team left
standing.
Three-Legged Race: Two participants from each team place their foot in a seed bag to
simulate a three-legged experience. They then must work together to travel down to a
designated point, then turn around and come back. This is a race, the last team standing
wins.
Relay Race: All 5 members of the team will be required to participate in various activities.
Prior to the race, the activities as well as the penalty descriptions will be explained. The team
with the fastest time after penalties are added wins the relay portion.
Overall Team Placement: The points accumulated throughout the Aggie Olympic events will
determine the team’s final scores. The winning team will be rewarded with T-shirts, and
bragging rights until next year.
