We are one of the largest producers of natural gas yet we are penalized because
the prices are not regulated as a result of inter-state transportation. Our state
government should reduce the taxes on all natural gas used within the confines
of New Mexico.
More ethanol fewer and more expensive corn tortillas! "What we do here triggers
impacts around the world," including raising the price of grain, said Chad Hart,
an agriculture economist at Iowa State University. Corn ethanol production
requires the burning of fossil fuels, and threatens water quality and availability,
according to a new study by the National Academy of Sciences.
