Williams Pleads Guilty To Assault Charges
Charge Reduced Under Deal
DES MOINES, Iowa -- An Iowa State University football player has agreed to
plead guilty to assault charges stemming from a fight at an Ames nightclub.
As part of a plea deal, Durrell Williams will have to pay a fine, attend an anger
management class and possibly spend time in jail. In exchange, the charge
against him will be reduced to a serious misdemeanor.
Williams practiced with the team this spring. His future at Iowa State will likely be
decided in the upcoming weeks.
