GKN Aerospace Sweden
hhWe
were founded in 1930 to provide the Swedish Air
Force with engines.

first commercial aircraft engine was overhauled in
Trollhättan back in 1966.

first order for space components was received in
1974 and in 1979 for commercial engine components.

the 1990’s we specialised in large engine structures
and rotors for commercial engines. Today we are
market leader in the development of engine structures,
with presence in more than 90 % of all new aircraft.

the last decade we have strengthened our position. Our lightweight technology has been implemented
in cutting-edge projects. In 2008 we became partners
in three major engine programs: XWB, GP7000 and

30 years’ TFE731 experience
We were authorised as a Heavy Maintenance Facility back when Apple launched
the Macintosh. Since then we have successfully overhauled TFE731 engines
during 1 500 shop visits. This experience
has made it possible for us to fulfil the
most challenging customer demands.
Today, we offer MSP operators full program coverage, and for non-MSP operators we develop flexible customised
workscopes. As our customer, you will
find full commitment throughout our
service organisation. Always with quality
and safety in the forefront.
Capabilities and services
We are fully authorised as a Honeywell Heavy Maintenance Facility and can handle all heavy maintenance,
including CZI, for the whole TFE731 engine range: -2, -3,
-4, -5, -20, -40, -50 and -60.
Engine Testing
We stand ready to support you when you need to verify
the performance of your engine or in case of troubleshooting.
Our maintenance facility for business jet turbofan engines
is located in Trollhättan, Sweden, close to Landvetter
International Airport in Gothenburg.
Rental engines
We can support and coordinate your rental engine
requests with the Honeywell rental engine bank.
OEM warranty and MSP claims
Our computer system is wired with the Honeywell
warranty system, ensuring that any warranty administration concerning your TFE731 engines will be handled
efficiently.

Repairs and modifications
All repairs and modifications of parts can be carried out
in-house or in co-operation with the OEM.
Technical support and AOG services
Our engineers will always assist you with technical
support, including general technical assistance, on-site
inspections and troubleshooting, maintenance program
optimization, etc. You always get fast service whenever
needed – regardless of whether it involves the fastest
possible delivery of spare parts, on-wing repairs or
support by phone.
Technical reports
All in-shop engine service is carefully documented and
directly available in the form of technical reports. Weekly
status reports during the shop visit are always included.
