If you are an experienced IT professional with industry certifications or starting your path to a career in information systems, you
may be able to complete your MCC certificate or degree in less time than you think! In many cases, there is a certification exam
you can take that will count as an MCC course. You can choose to take the class for credit or sit for the industry exam – either can
count toward your MCC degree or certificate program.
If you hold a current industry certification from the list below, you can request credit by certification at any MCC campus. Simply
bring documentation of passing the current industry certification exam(s) and photo identification to the nearest MCC campus to get
the credit added to your transcript.
Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) qualifies for credit as CSIS112 Introduction to Networks
CCNA I and CSIS 113 Routing and Switching Essentials CCNA II
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualifies for credit as CSIS 112 Introduction to Networks CCNA I, CSIS 113
Routing and Switching Essentials CCNA II, CSIS 212 Scaling Networks CCNA III, and CSIS 213 Connecting Networks CCNA IV
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security qualifies for credit as CSIS 272 Network Security
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) qualifies for credit as CSIS 216 Implementing Cisco IP Routing CCNP I, CSIS
217 Implementing IP Switching CCNP II, and CSIS 218 Maintaining and Troubleshooting IP Networks CCNP III, as well as the
four courses (CSIS 112, 113, 212 & 213) in the CCNA certification.

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master level certification in all four applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint)
