Educational Plan Essay
Associate of Applied Sciences Technical/Professional Studies
Harford Community College
The Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Technical/Professional Studies is designed to be highly
flexible in meeting your educational and employment needs. In order for the College to assist you in
designing your program of study, you will need to outline your tentative plans in a short essay (100-200
words) in the space provided below. (A typed response may be attached).
Identify how prior college level courses, credit by examination, military credit, etc., fit in with courses to
complete your plan. List courses that you would like to take on the Educational Plan form and describe
how they fit into your long-range employment/educational goal. Note that the core technical/professional
courses must be completed in at least two disciplines and that the technical/professional electives should
complement the core.
