SPPA-M3000 Plant Management
optimizes organization with a cost-cutting plant
management system across several locations.
The Result
■ Lower costs due to
higher work productivity
■ More availability due
to rational maintenance
strategies
■ Higher returns due to
comprehensive reduction
of costs
The Company
In recent years, Energie AG Oberösterreich
has developed from a regional utility company
into an internationally active corporation.
Today the company operates two coal and
38 hydroelectric power plants, in addition to
one of the largest biomass plants in Austria.
The plants are spread throughout the entire
federal state and currently generate approx.
4000 GWh of electricity per year.
The Task
Competition is forcing the company to achieve
constant or increasing plant availability and
even more economic operation with a small
number of staff. The planning and performance
of maintenance measures, in addition to good
documentation, constitute an essential cost
factor. The system should be tailored to suit
the special requirements of power generation
while allowing it to be used at all locations.
Our Solution
Energie AG Oberösterreich has been working
with the SPPA-M3000 Plant Management
System, which was specially developed for
power plants, for more than 10 years.
The system provides information about the key
data of all plants at all locations. Special events,
such as scheduled and current maintenance
measures, are processed employing a workflow.
SPPA-M3000, combined with SAP and document management, has become an indispensable tool for day-to-day work.
“Plant Management has proven
to be most successful. Without
the plant management system,
efficient work processes would
be almost unthinkable in view
of our decentralized structures.“
