Course Requirements

r General Psychology (PSYC 1301)
u RNs may receive 28 hours of advanced placement
r Developmental Psychology (PSYC 2301)
credit for prior nursing education after validation of
r Old Testament History (RLGN 1301)
prior learning by testing or work evaluation from the
r New Testament History (RLGN 1302)
first nursing course, Professional Nursing Role.
r Introduction to Sociology (SOCI 1301)
Validation testing may be waived if the following
r Speech Communication (SPCH 1301)
conditions are met:
r EXSS courses (3 semester hours)
w The RN graduated from a nursing education program
accredited by a Board of Nurse Examiners or by
the National League for Nursing Accrediting
Commission.
w The RN has graduated within the past two years or
r Fine Arts Elective (3 semester hours)
r Foreign Language (4 semester hours)
* All core coursework must be passed with at least a 2.0
per course and an overall grade point average of 2.5 to
be admitted into the nursing program.
