“scramble for Africa”, except
Ethiopia and Liberia.

 On average, Antarctica is the windiest continent. Winds in some places of the continent can reach 200 mph (320 km/h).
 Ninety-nine percent of
Antarctica is covered by ice.



Asia is the world’s largest continent.
Asia has given birth to some of the oldest human civilizations.




 Europe is named after the
Phoenician princess Europa of Greek myth who was seduced by Zeus disguised as a bull.
 Europe covers 3.93 million square miles, which is roughly eight percent of the Earth's surface.

 North America is the only continent that has every kind of climate.

 South American nations have a rich variety of music. Some of the most famous genres include samba from Brazil, tango from Argentina &
Uruguay, and cumbia from Colombia.
