PVD/CVD Diamond Coating Facility Technical Manager
CemeCon, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of CemeCon AG, an innovative developer and provider of sputter based PVD
coatings, PVD coating systems, and CVD diamond technology for applications on cutting tools. Our growth over the past
several years is demanding that we enhance the technical skills at our upstate New York Application Development
Center located in the Finger Lakes Region of NY near Corning /Elmira.
CemeCon, Inc. has a fully operational coating service center providing PVD and CVD diamond coatings exclusively for the
manufacturers of cutting tools. We serve customers from all over the USA and Canada and maintain extremely strong
market share positions in specific tooling segments. CemeCon Group is the world market leader in CVD diamond both in
coating service and the core equipment and process technology.
We are seeking an individual to join our management team with a focus on managing and supporting the technical
elements of our business model. The individual selected for this role will need a strong formal education based on
physics and vacuum technology, preferably at the Masters level or higher, along with 5-10 years of commercial

The position reports to the president. Diverse responsibilities will include:









Developing training modules for integrating new staff members into our production teams.
Managing the installation of new equipment and processes at our facility.
Project manager for customer installations of complete PVD and CVD diamond facilities around the USA and
Canada.
Managing the technical support staff and maintenance functions for production operations in our NY facility.
Managing field service and remote support for existing and future customer installations.
Acting as technical liaison with the technology development group based at the headquarters in Germany.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and Quality Manager to grow the company and the skills of the
staff with a strong adherence to the principles of ISO 9000 QMS.
Implementing new processes and technologies in the U.S. as they are developed by the engineering group in
Germany.
Support the sales team with specific technology issues.
The location for this position is Horseheads, NY. Travel could be as much as 25-30% and will include both domestic and
international destinations. The CemeCon Group has facilities in Germany, USA, and China with equipment customers in
those regions, Canada, Asia, Japan, and Korea. The focus of CemeCon, Inc. is North America and most international
