Introduction:
Matthew 28:19A (KJV) “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations”
Matthew 28:19A ESV “Go therefore, and make disciples of all
nations”
-Jesus commands us to “make/build” disciples (learners &
followers of Christ).
-Only 2% of Christians share their faith.
-Perhaps we don’t share our faith because we don’t know the
foundation; WE CAN’T SHARE WHAT WE DON’T KNOW!

Body:
(1.)Principle 1 JESUS IS THE “ONLY” WAY TO HEAVEN.
-John 14:6 “….I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No
one comes to the Father except through me.”
*To get to God, one must go through Jesus!
-Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for
there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.”
*Eternal Salvation is “only” in the name of Jesus!

(2.)Principle 2 God’s Grace (unmerited/undeserved favor)
saves us; NOT our own good/righteous works.
-Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
not that of yourselves: it is the “gift” of God: Not of works,
lest any man should boast.”
*Being good doesn’t get one into Heaven; being bad doesn’t
get one into Hell.
*Belief in Christ gets one into Heaven; Unbelief in Christ gets
one into Hell.
*I don’t do good “to be saved;” I do good “because I am
saved!”

(3.)Principle 3 We need Jesus because we have a sin problem.
-Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the
glory of God.”
-1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
-1 John 1:10 “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him
a liar, and his word is not in us.”
*To sin is to MISS THE MARK (as in aiming for a target).
*Both saved & unsaved people miss the mark.
*The difference between saved & unsaved people is that
pre-salvation, I wasn’t even aiming for the mark; postsalvation AT LEAST I’M AIMING/TRYING!

(4.)Principle 4 Sin has a penalty (death).
-Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of
God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
*Death is separation from God.
(5.)Principle 5 Sin has a remedy (Christ’s Death, Burial, &
Resurrection).
-Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in
that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
*Jesus Christ bore the sins of the world on the Cross that we
may be reconciled to God through Christ.

(6.)Principle 6 Christ died for the sins of the world, but
everyone must still make an individual decision to accept
Christ.
-Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
*We must decide to verbally confess Jesus as the Lord (ruler)
of our lives and believe in his death, burial, and
resurrection.

(7.)Principle 7 I am to live a transformed life that is opposite
from the world by different thinking until Christ’s return.
-Romans 12:1-2 KJV “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the
mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.”
*I behave different by thinking different!
