Overview
Special Olympics Washington seeks a highly motivated individual to join our Seattle office team as an Office
Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist This position focuses on a variety of tasks including data entry and front desk duties.
Applicants must be current or former Special Olympics athletes/participants.
Position Title: Office Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist
Reports to: Director, Project UNIFY
Principle Duties:

Data entry - input athlete and team information to our Games Management System software.
Answer main phone line and transfer calls to appropriate staff members, relay messages if necessary.
Attend to all front desk reception duties (phones, receiving visitors, copying, mailing, etc.)
Represent Special Olympics via occasional speaking opportunities to businesses, individuals, or other public
events.
5) Provide administrative support to staff as assigned.
Qualifications:
1) Proficiency in basic computer skills: Internet, email, Microsoft Office experience, and the ability to learn new
data entry programs, specifically the GMS (Games Management System of Special Olympics Washington) to
upload individual and team paperwork.
2) Ability to meet required deadlines and communicate progress with coworkers and supervisor.
3) Strong telephone skills and ability to learn a multi-line system.
4) Ability to complete projects independently and within a team.
5) Ability to speak at public events on behalf of Special Olympics.
6) Applicants must be current or former Special Olympics athletes/participants.
