Peter Harrison (Chairman)

Peter Harrison is an Australian born, business developer with an expertise in marketing and finance who brings international perspective and strategic creative thinking to business opportunities.

Peter has founded several international advertising agencies that he has built up and sold in Australia and the UK. He has been closely involved in international sponsorship and event management for Formula One motor sport. Prior to moving to the UK, Peter was personally advising the Ford

Motor Company on project Ford 2000 - a five year worldwide company refocusing project with the objective of making Ford the number one car company.

Peter’s other roles include Director, Augusta Ventures Limited and

European Director elect, Investorlink China Limited.

Andrew Rubio

BCom (UNSW)

Andrew Rubio is an Australian-qualified Chartered Accountant with nine years’ experience in the profession and fourteen in Investment Banking.

Whilst in the profession, Andrew serviced a broad range of clients in the areas of accounting, audit, tax and business consultancy. In Investment

Banking he worked for Salomon Brothers, Bankers Trust, NatWest Global

Financial Markets and Credit Suisse First Boston. During this time, he was involved in all aspects of finance including financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and management reporting.

Andrew established the accounting function at Throgmorton during 2002.

Since then, he has assisted numerous financial services businesses to get started and has helped transition established businesses that have embraced outsourcing. He blends best practice with a real sense of practicality and is passionate about client service delivery.

In late 2009, Andrew became Chief Executive of Throgmorton.

Peter’s other roles include Treasurer for Farnham RUFC and Vice-

President for Frensham Cricket Club.

Melinda Wallman is the founder of the London and Hong Kong offices of

Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA). She led the firm's international expansion until 2009 and is now in charge of the firm's EMEA Partner Practice Group.

She specialises in senior level search on behalf of law firms, financial institutions, funds and multinational companies in London and internationally. Melinda has placed partners into many AmLaw 100, Magic and Silver Circle law firms including Allen & Overy, Cleary Gottlieb, Herbert

Smith, Gibson Dunn, Linklaters, Milbank Tweed, Norton Rose, Ropes &

Gray, Schulte, Roth & Zabel, Sidley Austin, Skadden Arps, and Weil

Gotshal. She has placed General Counsels and other lawyers with many financial institutions, funds and companies including Bain Capital, Cheyne

Capital, Credit Suisse, General Electric, Noonday Asset Management and

Smith & Nephew.

Melinda has particular expertise assisting law firms and corporate law departments to expand internationally. She has opened offices for law firms in London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore. She has worked as a search consultant in London, Hong Kong, New York and Sydney. She speaks and writes frequently on issues concerning cross-border search and the globalisation of the legal profession.

Melinda is committed to helping women to achieve their career goals and to helping law firms and companies to recruit, retain and develop female talent. She runs a quarterly seminar series, Managing your Career: the XX

Advantage for senior women in the legal profession. In addition to being a trustee of UK Friends of UNSW Australia, Melissa is on the advisory board of Prime Advocates.

Melinda received her LL.B. from the University of New South Wales,

Sydney in 1992 and her B.A. from the University of New South Wales in

1990, completing part of the degree on a DAAD scholarship at the Freie

Universitaet, Berlin. Prior to joining MLA in New York in 1999, Melinda practised corporate law at Gilbert & Tobin, Sydney, then commenced her search career with a major British consultancy in London, developing their cross-border UK-Australia business.

Julian Liddy is a Division Director within Macquarie Bank’s Corporate and

Asset Finance Group in London, United Kingdom. Julian is also the head of

Macquarie Energy Leasing in EMEA and holds board positions on a number of Macquarie Group entities in the United Kingdom.

In addition to being involved in the establishment, growth and management of various Macquarie businesses, Julian has executed a wide range of transactions during his 13 years at Macquarie in London and Sydney.

Julian’s experience in the utilities sector spans renewable energy, distributed generation and smart metering where Julian has been involved in a number of significant asset financings, acquisitions and disposals.

Julian holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New

South Wales and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of New

South Wales. Julian completed his law degree on exchange at Georgetown

University, Washington DC.
