Interest Approach (Motivation):
Draw a picture of a flat head screwdriver and ask the students to identify the tool.
Question: What are some tools that you or someone you know commonly uses?
Indicate what some of the tools are used for.

1. Phillips Screwdriver- used for tightening or loosening screws;
has a + shape at the end that corresponds to a specific screw.
2. Combination End Wrench- used for tightening or loosening
nuts,bolts, etc.; it has both an open and box end.
3. Feeler Gauge- used for gauging the clearance or spacing of
valve tappets and other jobs where accurate measurements of
.001 to .032 may be desired.
