 Participate in the generation of Intellectual Property (IP) by providing technical expertise to surgeons, medical

 Attend surgeries & cadaveric labs to develop user needs, product req’s, & design spec’s.
 Develop & manage timelines throughout project life cycles.
 Create 3D CAD Models using SolidWorks to develop implantable devices, surgical tools, fixtures & gages. Also produce
reports from Finite Element Analysis performed on implantable devices and tools.
 Generate engineering drawings applying appropriate GD&T, material selection, surface finish, heat treatment, & notes.
Also generate bill of materials (BOM’s) & perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
 Manage engineering documents such as instruction manuals, BOM's, engineering change orders (ECO’s), notices
(ECN’s), & standard operating procedures (SOP's). Also establish SOP's such as design/document control, part number,
lot number, & serial assignment procedures to meet FDA regulatory demands.
 Work w/third-party vendors to generate plastic SLA/SLS prototypes & metal prototypes for functional testing.
 Perform functional testing & assist surgeons in cadaveric lab testing.
 Evaluate & select suppliers / manufacturers to support development of products. Also work with manufactures & Quality
Assurance through design changes required to maintain product supply, & ensure specific cost, time, &/or regulatory
standards are met.

 Over 400 unique components & assemblies designed including some patents pending.
 Over 200 plastic prototypes built and tested.

AIRBUS for an estimated in $1.5M annual revenue.
 Led the BOEING 7-Series Avionic Interphone Selector Panel (ISP) design, prototype & early manufacturing ramp up,
resulting in an estimated $750K to $1M annually.
 Managed full lifecycle of the BOEING 7-Series Avionic Turning Control Panel (TCP) with projected revenue of $1.5M
– $3M annually.
 Reduced legacy product costs by 7% through changes in design & manufacturing processes, including in-house
waterproof technology upgrades leading to fewer returns & repairs.
 Redesigned & upgraded fasteners to save the company up to 2% on all applicable models.
 Trained new design engineering hires in SolidWorks 2013 & other tools / processes.
