We have a total balance of $796.13 as of 10-6-10
Committees:

This upcoming Monday after school at 2:45, all of our committees will be meeting in Mrs. Taylor’s room to start working on their
committees.

The chairman of each committee will be later selected by the officers and elected by vote as well. These people will be informed
shortly. They will be chosen by how they act on Monday inside their group.

Fundraisers Committee
i.
Now includes Planners, Card Club and T-shirts or anything we want to add to fundraising
ii.
T-Shirts- “Get your Broncos, Out Ya Pocket” design still up to debate and left to fundraiser committee to decide

Trick-Or-Treat for Cans Committee
i.
Wants to donate cans to North Texas Food Bank
ii.
Plan on teaming up to get this done with Theater and FFA like last year.
iii.
Trying to get cans collected to count for Green Cord hours
iv.
Official Dates will be decided by Trick-Or-Treat for Cans Committee
1.
Hand out flyers on 18th (Monday)
2.
Pick up on 21st or 22nd (Thursday or Friday) sometime after 2:30

Star Events!
i.
Showed YouTube video of Star Events- (under FCCLA star events)
ii.
Boyd can have up to 11 entries in Star Events this year. A single member can only enter one event. A school can have
more than one entry in an event but you will be competing against other Boyd FCCLA Members.
iii.
Tarleton Practice Field Trip- January 28th
iv.
Make sure you talk to us if you are interested in a Star Event so we get an idea on who will go


Ronald McDonald House
i.
Toy Drive- We need to organize a Boyd Toy Drive to go along with the Christmas Party since we wont be attending that.
ii.
Green Cord Hours may be given out for bringing new toys
iii.
This committee needs to decide date and when/who will be going to RMD House to drop off toys.
Letters For Alumni
i.
We have to send out letters!!!
ii.
Write about FCCLA, things going on at Boyd, and other fun topics.
iii.
People who need letters:


Names were voted and we decided to put all the names on the Neck of the Flamingo.

