River, France takes it over and renames it fort

Un-united and it feels so good

George Washington Builds Fort Necessity which was attacked
and taken over by France

As the French and Indian War Begins, the Iroquois Nations
decline to fight against France

Ben Franklin Proposes the Albany Plan of Union to Unite the
Colonies but is defeated

The plan called for colonies to combine to settle and protect
the Americas but Legislatures did not want to give up their
power
French Toast

Britain sends General Edward Braddock to help
George Washington defeat French Troops

When France launched a Surprise attack Braddock
held his ground and continued to fight

The French Troops were able to Defeat the Larger
British Army and continued to dominate the early
years of the war

William Pitt sent Britain's best generals to help win
the war

General James Wolfe plans, and carries out, a
surprise attack on Quebec

The French Troops awoke to British Troops
beginning the Battle of Quebec

Both Leaders were killed in battle and France

loses the Seven Years War

Under the Treaty of Paris, Britain got all the land
EAST of the Mississippi and Florida


As British forces took over French Forts they began to anger
the Native Americans

The Native Americans Surrounded and Destroyed British Forts
During Pontiac’s Rebellion

British Forces responded using brutal attacks and diseases to
defeat the Native Americans

The British Issued the Proclamation of 1763 forbidding the
settlement of lands west of the Appalachian Mountains

This Act would anger the colonists and cause hostility
leading to the Revolutionary War
