Test will consist of the following information. It is your responsibility to place the answers to this
review guide in the proper page in your ISN. This assignment is worth 100 points (you can NOT
use a HOMEWORK PASS ON THIS ASSIGNMENT).
Lab Safety:
 On page 2 of your ISN, do clock questions #1 & #9 on Lab Safety.
o #1 must include 3 rules from your lab safety contract.
 On page 4 of your ISN, do clock question #10 on Lab Equipment.
o Must include 8 sentences about lab equipment.
 Study the Lab Safety Symbols and their definitions in your Lab Notebook.
Scientific Methods:
 On page #5 & #7 of your ISN, study the “Scientific Methods” notes.
o On page #7 be sure you have 3 to 5 sentences in the summary section of your notes.
 On page #8 of your ISN, review the Scientific Methods – Controls and Variables worksheet.
Graphing:
 On page #9 of your ISN along the red line of the page, write a 3 to 5 sentence summary
on your graphing notes.
 On page #10 of your ISN, complete the Graphing worksheet attach it here.
o See Ms. Hall to ensure that you have placed the worksheet in your ISN correctly.
 Study your graphing notes.

 On page #16 of your ISN, answer the following questions:
o Describe a controlled experiment you could perform to determine whether ants are
more attracted to butter or honey.
o What is the difference between a theory and a hypothesis?
o Why do some investigations require a control?
o Using a Venn Diagram: Compare & Contrast quantitative and qualitative information.
Explain how both are types of information are important to biological studies.
o Why is science considered to be a combination of information and process?
o Why is technology not the solution to all scientific problems?
