DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one Project Manager, who meets the
general qualifications of ITSAC Project Manager 1 Category, Emerging Technology Type and the specifications
outlined in this document for the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) Child Support Division.
The Worker will perform highly complex project management work involving the end-to-end coordination,
planning, development and initiation of projects at various levels of completion; monitoring the progress and
schedule of projects and team members; and communicating with project stakeholders, management, and other
relevant parties.

Experience planning, developing, initiating, managing and coordinating the development of information
system projects;
Skill in developing detailed project plans, including, resource allocation, feasibility studies, project
schedules, work plans, budgets, cost estimates, status reports, risk management plans, communication
plans, project planning deliverables and project reports;

Experience reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating project deliverables and quality;
7
Experience in business analysis, information technology operations, project management of technical
projects, system analysis or system design;
7
Knowledge of system development life cycle methodology;
7
Knowledge of project management industry standards and best practices;
Skill in communicating project status, project methodology and processes to project
stakeholders; and evaluates outcomes and output of team members;

Experience identifying potential project risks and designing strategies to mitigate them;
Experience coordinating activities of information system development team with other project
managers, technical teams and vendors;
Experience in facilitating project meetings to communicate and stay informed on issues that may
impact projects; ability to prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and proposals to diverse
audience
Experience developing and maintaining information technology processes, policies, standards,
and procedures
Skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without
compromising accuracy; articulate and effective oral and written communication, consensus building, and
persuasive leadership; using a computer for word-processing, spreadsheets and data entry/retrieval;
exercising sound judgment and effective decision making; Ability to convey complex and highly-technical
information to a diverse audience

III.
TERM OF SERVICE
Services shall commence as soon as possible and shall be completed by August 31, 2016; 1904 estimated hours
for this Contract Position. This service may be amended, renewed and/or extended providing OAG and Vendor
agree in writing to do so.
IV.
WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
A. Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the OAG.
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, excluding State holidays when
the agency is closed.
B. The primary work location(s) will be at 5500 Oltorf Street, Austin, Texas 78741.
