California Wildflowers





Wildflowers live
side by side,
sharing the sun
and rain.
They help
prevent erosion.
California
Poppy is the
State Flower.
Look at how
vibrant the
colors are in this

Can you see

How are we like Wildflowers?

We share the sunshine
and the rain.

We stand tall, being
ourselves.

We allow other people to
be who and what they are.

We enjoy diversity found in
humans:
Food
Music
Clothing
Languages
Opinions
Talents
California Redwoods









Tallest trees in the world
Live >2000 years!
2 kinds
 Coast Redwood
 Giant Sequoia
These 350-foot-tall trees do not have deep roots.
Redwood tree roots are shallow, only five or six feet deep.
The roots grow WIDE, growing up to 100 feet from the
trunk.
They thrive in thick groves, where the roots intertwine and
fuse together.
This gives them tremendous strength against the forces
of nature.
TOGETHER the tree community can withstand high winds
and raging floods.
How are we like Redwood trees?

We can reach out and help each other have more strength:
Friendship
Kindness
Smiles

When we work together, anything is possible
