Dear Families,
I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving Weekend!
The entire class made beautiful Thanksgiving cards for
me last week. I would like to thank all the students for
the thoughtful cards!
This week the class will begin second trimester goals for
math and language. Both grades are learning time
measurement and multiplication skills. I posted the goals
for the second trimester on our web page. I will also
update the wonderful web pages that provide additional
lessons and practice for these new skills.
The students are reading The Gingerbread Man this week
along with similar stories. This is the first week for the
class to focus on our winter customs and traditions as
well. It is always fun to learn the similarities and
differences of family holiday traditions.
As the winter weather arrives with temperatures going
down in the 20’s, the class will begin a unit about winter!
Have a wonderful week!
