Updates from Committee activities:

Fundraising Committee:
JA team will prepare JA’s fundraising frame including all kind of funding – EU projects,
Government/Ministry projects, Funding via JA-YE projects, Private funding – people and companies;
different sources: crowd funding opportunities via JA Worldwide & JA-YE network; establishing
educational entrepreneurial center in JA – meeting with Maya Hristova, HP

Governance Committee:
Completed the final draft of the Code of Ethics and sent to Board for review and vote
Obtained different templates for business processes and working on finalizing a template to propose
to the governance committee for review

HR Committee:
Working on Board self-evaluation template, based on suggestions received by Boni
Working on staff evaluation system, based on examples provided by Nadia and Boni


Financial update:







Very good fundraising campaign for Manager for a Day and Careers of Tomorrow –
sponsorship from HP, Porsche, Vivacom, VM Ware, HRDC, PPD, in-kind sponsorship from
Coca Cola and pro-bono sponsorship from Publicis
Received NN funding of 10,000 EUR for Social Innovation Relay 2015
Received Hyundai funding of 10,000 EUR for Brilliant Young Entrepreneurs 2015
Confirmed sponsorship from AmGen for 20,000 BGN
Confirmed funding of 20,000 BGN from the Ministry of Education for training of trainers
Secured funding from Coca Cola for 2015, contract is signed – 50,000 BGN
In talks with Metlife Bulgaria for an enlargement of “Achievements for Life” project with a
budget of 36,000 EUR




Still in discussion with VISA and sorting out final details of the contract, budget is not
confirmed, but around 40,000 BGN
Waiting for meeting with America for Bulgaria to discuss the opportunities for a new 3-year
grant
Revenues from textbook sales and training fees (January-March 2015): 3570 BGN from
textbook sales and 6870 BGN from training fees
So far we have received the annual Board Member contributions of Andon Ichev (annual
amount of 1000 USD) and Boni Bonev (semi-annual amount of 500 USD).
