Accountability

 Spending is tracked closely and its’ impact measured. Progress is monitored and information used to adapt what is in place. The Governing

Body is informed of the impact of this funding and parents, via the school website.

A dedicated member of the schools leadership team monitors the impact of the funding, including through: uptake of sports clubs, lesson observations to ensure improved outcomes for pupils, and pupil and staff feedback.

A specialist sports coach also works with Classteacher once a week in order to provide professional development opportunities for them.

This coach was recruited by the local cluster of schools, with our local Secondary Academy holding line management responsibility. Impact of premium funding longer term provision is a focus.

Collaborative work is a strength of the school. Children have access to sports competitions at local and regional level. Inter-school sport in the locality involves ten schools, this being co-ordinated by a body called the South Craven Primary Sports Partnership, of which the school is a member.

Safeguarding arrangements meet statutory requirements for all specialist coaches

What difference does it make?

School provides a wider range of activities than already on offer through existing provision

Subsidised access to after-school sports. Again, a wide variety of activities are on offer including dance. Children of all age ranges have access to this

Access to regional level tournaments and local inter-school tournaments

The majority of children are able to swim 25m by end KS2, this being a national curriculum requirement.

Funding has been used sustainably to develop teacher competence for future years.
