Implementing Rules and Regulations:
I.
PROFESSORS OF THE YEAR (ACCOUNTING AND NON-ACCOUTING)

The Professor of the Year recognizes the professors and instructors of PSBA-QC who has
performed well and served his purpose as an educator in their respective fields during the
school year. The categories and syllabi are as follows:

Accounting Professors of the Year
o Basic Accounting Professor of the Year
 Accounting 1 and 2
o Financial Accounting Professor of the Year
 Accounting 3, 4 and 5
o Cost Accounting Professor of the Year
 Accounting 6, 8 and 14
o Advance Accounting Professor of the Year
 Accounting 7, 9 and 10
o MAS Professor of the Year
 Accounting 12, 15 and 16
o Audit Professor of the Year
 Accounting 11 and 13 and Audit CIS

Non-Accounting Professors of the Year
o IT Professor of the Year
 Accounting IS and Computer Subjects
o Law/Tax Professor of the Year Professor of the Year
 All Law and Taxation Subjects
o Business Professor of the Year
 All Business-related subjects including Management, Finance, Marketing,
Economics, etc...
o Major Professor of the Year
 All other subjects which were not included in other categories such as Math,
Science, English, Filipino, Armansoc, CSR, etc...
o Minor Professor of the Year
 PE, NSTP and Social Arts Subjects
o Post-Graduate Instructor of the Year
 Masteral, Doctoral and Review Instructors
1. All bona fide Professors/Instructors of the Philippine School of Business Administration –
Quezon City (PSBA-QC) are eligible to compete for any of the aforementioned Professor of the
Year Category, provided however, that they are currently engaged in teaching in PSBA-QC and
that they are engaged in teaching the syllabi of the category they are vying for within the school
year;
2. The three (3) official nominees per category shall be posted at least one (1) week before the
Gawad BSA Year End Awards. The Selection process will be as follows:
a. There shall be a Pre-Nomination Voting to be facilitated by the Philippine School of
Business Administration, Quezon City – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (PSBAQC JPIA);
b. Each vote shall cost one peso (P 1.00) per category;
c. A student can vote as much as he please for a single professor for a single category,
provided however that he must have taken at least one subject of the syllabi covered by
a category, otherwise his vote shall be null and void;
d. The last day for pre-nomination voting shall be on 6:00pm of March 1, 2010;
e. The Top three (3) professors garnering the highest votes shall be the official nominees
of each category.
3. After the official nominees per category have been determined, the official voting shall
commence at least one (1) week before the Awarding, which shall last until 6:00pm of March
11, 2010, the day before the awarding;
4. The professor Garnering the highest votes shall be dubbed as the Professor of the Year for his
respective category.
II.
MOST OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTANCY PROFESSOR

The Most Outstanding Accountancy Professor recognizes the Accountancy Professor of PSBAQC who performed well, serving his purpose as an instructor, and produced the greatest impact
on the lives of PSBA-QC Accountancy
1. Only the official nominees of the Accounting Professors of the Year Categories are eligible to vie
for the Most Outstanding Accountancy Professor, which will be determined at least one (1)
week before the Gawad BSA Year End Awards;
2. Each Professor vying for the title shall be evaluated as follows:





Punctuality and Attendance

a. Interview. Each candidate shall undergo a scheduled interview to be conducted by a
selected panel. The date of interview for each candidate shall be based on the availability
of the professors and the panels reconciled.
b. Student Impact. This criterion will be based on the result of the pre-nomination and postnomination voting for the Professors of the Year Awards wherein the highest pointer shall
be acquire the fifty percent (50%) and shall be the base denominator for the other
candidates.
c. Punctuality and Attendance. Each candidate shall be given one hundred (100) points for
this criterion which shall be diminished by the number of late attendance and absences
during the school year up to the date of the cessation of voting. The guard’s record shall be
the basis of this criterion.
3. The candidate garnering the highest point from the criteria mentioned shall be dubbed as the
Most Outstanding Accountancy Professor while the second and third highest pointers shall get
the Outstanding Accountancy Professors – 1st and 2nd Runners-up, respectively.
III. MOST NOMINATED PROFESSOR

The Most Nominated Professor recognizes the professor of PSBA-QC who exhibits versatility in
teaching in various fields of academe.
1. All bona fide Professors/Instructors of the Philippine School of Business Administration –
Quezon City (PSBA-QC) are eligible for the recognition;
2. The Professor who got nominated in the most number of categories in the Professors of the
Year Awards shall be dubbed as the Most Nominated Professor. In case of tie(s), the number of
accumulated votes shall determine the recipient of the aforementioned recognition.
IV. STUDENTS’ CHOICE AWARD

The Student’s Choice Award recognizes the professor of PSBA-QC who made the greatest
impact among the students of the institution.
1. All bona fide Professors/Instructors of the Philippine School of Business Administration –
Quezon City (PSBA-QC) are eligible for the recognition;
2. The Professor who garnered the most number of accumulated pre-nomination and postnomination votes shall be the recipient of the Students’ Choice Award
