Focus on technology. How to use technology to provide more effective and more efficient services for
students and academic staff.

Retention – Appointing a First Year Experience and Retention Coordinator.

Increasing entry routes (e.g. Cluster Pathways). Increase equity and opportunity of access.

Volunteering/Civic Engagement/Community Engagement – Increase number of students who
volunteer.

Quality Review (November 2014) – Implement recommendations.

Increase internal cross collaboration (Counselling with Disability Support Services, all ‘Access’ offices
and external (FE and HE partners)

opportunities.
• Works with Limerick City and County working groups: (e.g. Limerick City and County Integration Groups,
RAPID) for the purpose of delivering on social inclusion policies and programmes
• Works in collaboration with a broad range of community development organisations, locally and regionally to
develop volunteering opportunities for UL students and staff – e.g.
 Probation and Linkages Limerick (PALLs)
