History of Computer - Timeline
Grades 6, 7 and 8
100 Points

For this project, you will create a timeline or flowchart with Microsoft Word
disclosing some of the most important historical computer milestones and
inovations dating back to 1936 until present. You don’t have to include every
single milestone, but I expect at least 20. (40 points)

You should include some images (at least 5). (10 points)

You should provide a brief summary of each milestone. (10 points)

Citations must be provided for both image and texts. Or a list of references.
(see below for more info) (10 points)
In addition, include the answers to these questions with your timeline/flowchart.
You may copy and past it onto your Word doc. (total for all 5 questions - 30 points)
1. What does PC stand for?
2. What does CPU stand for?
3. What does dual-core processor mean?
4. What are some advantages and disadvantages of owning a Mac vs. PC
(Windows)
5. In 30 years, if you had to predict, what do you think will be the next
technological gadget or invention we don’t have today that we won’t be able
to live without?
Example: about 30 years ago we didn’t have cell phones. I can’t live
without mine, can you? Or IPods?
