Verbs can show action happening in the
past, present, or future.
Examples:
Jessica jumps over a bush. (present)
Jessica jumped over a bush. (past)
Jessica will jump over a bush. (future)
A suffix is at the end of a base/root word. It changes
the meaning of the word.
Examples: spotless - without spots;
careful – full of care; lightly – in a light way;
happiness – the state of being happy
beautiful
wireless

Write words 5x each for 5
bonus points. Students
are given time in class
during morning work to
write words. 

Fraction – a symbol, such as ½ or 2/3, that names equal

Numerator – tells how many equal parts are described. It
is the number on top. UP
Denominator – tells the total number of equal parts. It is
the number on bottom. DOWN
