





April 2011– June 2013 (~2 hours/week), Miracle League at Cypress Mounds Volunteer:
Miracle League is a baseball league consisting of children with mental and physical
disabilities ages 18 and younger. Stood alongside the kids and provided assistance to the
players in any way they needed it. In addition we cheered everybody on and helped create
a positive atmosphere.
September 2012– November 2012 (~3 hrs/week), Volunteer at Charlie’s Place Respite
Center. Underwent a brief training, which taught methods of care and interaction with
individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I met a number of individuals who taught me
dedication and compassion.
August 2012, Participated in the Zumbathon fundraiser benefiting the Arc Baton Rouge.
January 2012– May 2012, Service Learning at Highland Elementary. Under the
supervision of Dr. Janet Norris, I participated in service learning through the Center for
Community Engagement, Learning, and Leadership (CCELL). I tutored children weekly
throughout the spring semester of 2012, recording their progress after each visit. This
service learning experience was in conjunction with COMD 4382.
Fall 2009, Summer 2013, Participated in Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge.
Assisted with the construction of local homes in New Orleans and Baton Rouge during
first semester in college, and again during first semester of graduate school.
May 2009 to December 2010, varies greatly, St. Aloysius Church Parish Member. In
college, I have had the opportunity to give back to the church I grew up going to. I have
volunteered at the annual fair and I attend parish masses and events. I have had the joy of
becoming close with so many families and it has been fulfilling to give back to the
community that gave so much to me as a child.
Work Experience


Spring 2010 (~4 hrs/week), Nursery Worker at local Church
May 2006– August 2012 (~18 hrs/week), Assistant Coach for Kenilworth Swim Team.
o May 2012– August 2012, Selected as Head Coach. As co-head coach of the team, I
was responsible for devising a daily practice regimen and coaching all ages on the





swim team. Some duties included delegating specific tasks to assistant coaches,
emailing/communicating with all parents, and swim meet preparation.
2006– 2012, Private Swim Lesson Instructor for kids ages 3-11.
April 2006– July 2008 (~15 hrs/week), Kenilworth Club Lifeguard; certified lifeguard &
CPR. Completed a lifeguard and CPR certification course and worked at Kenilworth Club
as a lifeguard for three years, renewing certification as necessary.
o April 2006– present: CPR Certified
2006– present, Dogsitting and Housesitting. My family has a large number of pets,
including pigs, and I absolutely love animals. I take care of families’ homes and/or pets
while they are out of town or working.
January 2011– June 2011, Private Tutor
January 2011– present, Nanny/Babysitter. Assist my neighbor by driving her three
children to and from school, sports, and other extracurricular activities.
