symbol of the nation.

Also as the Chief of

performs many
ceremonial duties such
as awarding medals
and throwing out the
first pitch at a baseball


As Chief Executive, the
President's job is to enforce
federal laws, treaties, and
federal court hearings, develop
federal policies, to prepare the
national budget, and to appoint
federal officials

The president is assisted by his
cabinet in the duties of Chief
Executive

ambassadors as well as
meeting with leaders
of foreign nations

of the nations military

military decisions.

this role by many top
generals and admirals of
the armed forces as well
as many retired military
personnel who serve on
his cabinet


