Displacement vs. Time Motion Graphs
Part 1: Duplicate each of the position versus time graphs shown in the following diagrams by
performing the indicated motion with a cylindrical object or you can choose to use a person in
your group.
Describe the motions in words as you execute them and write out your descriptions to
turn in. Use complete sentences. Each description should include:
 The initial position of the object (positive, negative or zero position).
 The initial velocity of the object (positive, negative or zero initial velocity).
 How the speed of the object changes (if it does). Give the direction of motion and whether
the object speeds up, slows down or moves at a constant speed.
 Your group will be assigned a whiteboard.
