What are we up to?
Math
Phonics
This week, we are continuing Chapter
13: Addition and Subtraction to 40.
This week, we will continue to practice
our regrouping skills in both addition and
subtraction. Please practice math
flashcards with your child for at least 5
minutes each night. 
Math Squares/Math Bingo homework will
be due on Friday!
Here are our spelling words for the
week:
wishes, foxes, splashes, mixes, about,
south, pound, couch, out, houses
Bonus: around, found
Please review these words with your
child each night. Repetition is the key
to mastering these words! Our test will
be on Friday!
Reading
Social Studies
This week, our main story is called The
Sleeping Pig. We will work on the
following skills: learning new vocabulary
words, identifying story elements, and
determining “cause and effect”
situations found in the text.
This week we will be learning about the
story of Ruby Bridges. Students will
learn about her life and how she
impacted our country.
Please continue to read with your child
for 10-15 minutes each night! 
