The Faculty of Business at Oxford Brookes University is offering studentships to exceptional
candidates seeking to study for a full time PhD starting in September 2014.
These full-time studentships, which include a commitment of seminar teaching to
undergraduate students, will be for 3 years subject to satisfactory progress. The bursary will
be £20,000 per annum, plus student fees.
Applicants should have a good Honours degree as well as a good Master’s degree at merit
level or above that includes a thesis component.

A growing stream of research activity at Oxford Brookes is focused on the practices of
marketing strategy and brands. We are interested in research proposals in the areas of
brand strategy and consumer perception of branding, including consumer-based brand
equity, global brands, brand concept mapping, cultural branding, brand communities,
political branding, internal branding, brand ethics, branded content, place branding and
branding in services.

available research areas and following the guidelines provided
Two academic references (submitted through UKPASS or using the attached

Evidence of funding (if the candidate is receiving funding from a sponsor)
