This thesis focus on (1) Identifying the dimension of Top management team
heterogeneity, and (2) find out the relationships between top management team
diversity and international diversification. There are many studies have discussed
characteristics of top management team. The thesis attempts to synthesize these
previously fragmented literatures into a view point of upper echelons perspective
and to generate conclusion which will be helpful to top management team by
integrating previous studies. We found that top management team with younger
age, elite education and international experience has positive effect on
international diversification, but tenure has poth positive and negative impact on
international diversification.
