TO DO
Enrolment forms and questionnaires - your
tutor can help you fill these in.
Learning Plan – you and your tutor will talk about what you
are good at and what you want to learn. You will both make
a plan of what you want to do and how you want to do it.
This can be changed at any time.
Student Portfolio – every student needs to put
together a file, sometimes called a portfolio,
showing the work they have done. You will get
a certificate for doing this. Your tutor can help.
Come - to class on time.

Holidays or Sickness – please let your tutor
know if you can’t come to class.
Pens, files & art materials – your tutor will let you know
what you need to bring.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Your tutor will tell you about the health and safety
procedures in your centre.
NO SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is not permitted within any Caerphilly County
Borough Council Buildings or its grounds.
FIRE PROCEDURES
Your tutor will tell you where the fire exits and assembly
points are.
DISABLED ACCESS – we will try to
give you the support you need. Talk to your tutor if
you need extra help.
COMPLAINTS
1. If you are unhappy about your course or your
centre. First speak to your tutor.
2. If you find this difficult or have any other
concerns speak to Liz Vaughan.
3. If this doesn’t help then speak to the Area Manager at
your centre.

Behaviour
If you do things that causes upset or distress to others, you will be asked to
leave your class and if necessary the building & grounds.
Inclement Weather
Depending on the severity of weather conditions, Oxford House may be
closed during periods of inclement weather i.e. snow. In such
circumstances, please contact Oxford House on 01633 612245.

Refreshment facilities are manned by our staff / volunteers and are available
during the class break time. (Please bring money with you to pay).
40p for a mug of tea
35p for a mug of Black coffee
45p for a mug of coffee
45p for a mug of hot chocolate
10p for 3 biscuits
If a student stays to classes all day, please bring a packed lunch.
(Please note that we have no facilities for warming food).
