1. LOT 1: IT Project Manager
Scope
GOAL is currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to own, promote and manage all global
and regional IT Projects. The successful candidate will deliver technology change projects required in
a number of areas such as Logistics, Finance, Operations, and IT.
This position / opportunity is offered on a 2 day per week 12 month engagement based in GOAL’s
Head Office Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin
Terms of Reference






Developing project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying resources needed
Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the projects
Organising and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
Assembling and coordinating project team members across departments; assigning
individual responsibilities
Preparing orders and specifications; liaise with Logistics team on necessary meetings and
procedures to facilitate selection of project services and products
Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
Expertise: Company or Individual with experience in managing complex line of business IT Projects.
Experience in HRIS and ERP rollouts desirable. Industry recognised project management qualification
essential. Experience with IT project management in public sector desirable.
2. LOT 2: Database Architect – Microsoft
Scope
GOAL is currently seeking an experienced Database Architect to develop its global database
structure, and manage existing data entities. GOAL has Microsoft based data servers in each country
of operation and is looking to consolidate and improve data structures and integrity throughout.
This position / opportunity is offered on a 2 day per week 12 month contract based in GOAL’s Head
Office Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin

Identify database requirements by; analysing department applications, programming, and
operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems.
Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities,
database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending
optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements
Liaise with Logistics for purchasing and contracting requirements.
Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters;
implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer
operating systems and hardware products.
Manage existing Database installations
Develop online and hybrid database solutions (Azure or similar)
Expertise: Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Databases (2005 – 2014), Azure, AD,
Access. Knowledge of working in dispersed data structures. Sage database management and
development highly desirable
3. LOT 3: Senior SharePoint Architect
Scope
To help develop and implement GOAL’s global SharePoint strategy along with continued
development of existing applications. GOAL is currently seeking an experienced SharePoint architect
to design and roll out the GOAL hybrid SharePoint solution across the globe (20 different countries)
as well as liaising with the different GOAL departments to gather and analyse requirements, design,
develop and roll out a pipeline of global SharePoint solutions. The successful candidate will lead a
team of SharePoint professionals to deliver solutions on both Office 365 and On-Premise SharePoint
2013 and 2016.
This position / opportunity is offered on a 4 days per week 10 month contract.
Terms of Reference







Designing and rolling out the GOAL SharePoint hybrid environment according to best
practices. This will allow users across the globe, many with very limited bandwidth to access
and work with essential GOAL solutions.
Liaising with end-users to identify business pain-points, and analysing, designing and
developing solutions on SharePoint.
Leading a team of SharePoint professionals, giving guidance, training and teambuilding as
well as assigning individual responsibilities
Supplying estimates for time and resources required per project to ensure on-time
completion
Working with Logistics to identify external vendors and consultants for pieces of work, and
manage resulting contracts.
Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the projects
Integration of SharePoint with GOAL’s LOB systems
Expertise: Extensive SharePoint (2010, 2013 & SP Online) knowledge along with experience of
managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working with dispersed teams in multiple
locations. Experience working within NGO sector highly desirable. System Integration and LOB
design. Microsoft Certified SharePoint Certification essential as well as working knowledge of
Dynamics CRM.
