SEMI-AUTONOMOUS WORK GROUPS
What is it?
A semi-autonomous group constists of a team of workers who have a collective
responsibility and a high degree of freedom and autonomy regarding a complete unit of
work or a sepcific task.
The task is being carried out in accordance with the group’s preferences within the
predetermined resources oft he organizationm, tiem limits and technological conditions.
Requirements



Multi- skilled workers
best case scenario: they all are able to perform all tasks in this work field
teamwork and collaboration
Responsibilities
They are responsible to some extent in planning, integrating, executing and monitoring the
processes in their area of responsibility.
Aim



trust in the employees
motivate the employees
better outcomes
 because they do it themselves
