Software Test Engineer Interns (2 roles)
RISE22, WANdisco
‘Future developers dream job’
How would we sum it up?
This is a rapidly growing, exciting software company that is working with some of the most leading
edge software and code in the world. If you are an aspiring software developer with a great attitude
and a keen mind then there is no better place for you to start your career. They are looking for the
brightest and best to come and join them but in return you will be learning from a really talented
team, working with leading edge technology, able to take on responsibility and progress your career
quicker than anything the big boys can offer you. And that’s without even mentioning the ping pong
table, great coffee or slide! If you don’t want to be another cog in the Google machine get your
application in quick, because we expect this one to be popular.
What’s the business all about?
The business is WANdisco, the fastest growing software and data company in the UK. They are
based out of the Electric Works (a vibrant hub of small exciting businesses near Sheffield train
station) and have a second headquarters in San Ramon, California. They are heavily invested in
Open Source Apache Subversion and Hadoop software technologies. The big data market that they
operate in is predicted to grow from $3 Billion this year to $48 Billion by 2017, so they have big
plans for explosive business growth to match this exponential market growth. They are no longer
what you would call a ‘small’ business in terms of people, brand strength, market share or
profitability but they still retain that great entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude that you associate
with smaller start-ups. Plus they have a great sense of humour and fun, just ask their ‘social captain’
about any upcoming plans. And as you might expect for a business of this nature almost everyone
is a graduate, so it is an intellectually stimulating and challenging place to work, where you have to
be bright to keep up! The WANdisco journey is interesting http://svn.ms/ftw or find out more at
