Signup Form PA Math League Club
Club members will be taking part in our two major contests - Pennsylvania Math League and
the American Math Competition (AMC).
The Pennsylvania Math League contests are six half-hour tests given during the school day once
a month from October to March. The AMC is a 75 minute multiple choice test given during
school in February. The content for both tests is primarily algebra and geometry, with
occasional questions in probability, trigonometry, logarithms, and sequences. All math contests
require logic and reasoning beyond the usual math curriculum, so that students who join Math
League as freshmen and sophomores benefit greatly from several years of attempting problems
and studying the solutions given after the contest.
Students in the Math Contest Club will receive information on other competitions throughout
the school year. Teams have been sent to university contests at Muhlenberg, Millersville,
Bucknell, Princeton, and Lehigh.

AMC-10 for 9th and 10th grades only
AMC-12 for 11th and 12th grade; open to 9th and 10th graders if desired
