Common Disease or Illness Assignment
You have learned many things about the human body and the different systems it
is made up of that work together allowing you to live a healthy and active life.
As the culminating activity to our Human Body Unit you will complete an
assignment about a common disease or illness of your choice. Choose a disease
or illness that perhaps you or a family member has experienced or one that for
some reason you are curious about. A really good source of information for you is
to talk with someone who currently has or had the problem in the past. They can
give you much of the information that you need to get started. You can also use
online and print resources to get additional information.
Some examples:

bronchitis
common cold
asthma
chicken pox
arthritis
diabetes
heart disease
tuberculosis
emphysema
strep throat
laryngitis
appendicitis
stomach ulcer
On the back of this page is an outline page you can use while collecting your
information. You have also been given your good copy sheet that you will use to
share and discuss your findings with classmates and eventually hand in for
evaluation. On the back of the good copy page is the Success Criteria so that you
know you have included all aspects of the assignment.
