In the remainder of this assignment you will study the first three commandments of the Ten

Commandments. These commandments are often referred to as “The First Table of the Law.”

(If you recall from the reading from Exodus 20, God gave the Ten Commandments on two tablets or tables of stone.) The first three commandments address our relationship to God.

We will refer to these as “vertical commands.” List the first three commandments (just the commandments, not the meanings). Open your catechism to pages 11-12 to find the commandments.
