an old man and old woman. One
day they made a gingerbread man.
They put it in the oven, but when
a delicious smell came from the
oven, they opened the oven. The
Gingerbread Man jumped out of
the oven and yelled. “Run, run as
fast as you can. You can’t catch
me I’m the gingerbread man.
The old woman and man
chased after him, but he was too
fast. Farmers saw the gingerbread
man and started to chase him. He
yelled, “Run, run, as fast as you
can. You can’t catch me I’m the
gingerbread man.” The farmers
sat to rest.
Then the Gingerbread Man
outran a bear and a wolf. He came
to a fox. The Gingerbread Man
said, “you can’t catch me!” The
fox said, “I can’t hear you. Come
closer.” The gingerbread man
came closer and said, “You can’t
catch me.” a little louder. The fox
said, “I still can’t hear you, come a
little closer.” Then when the
Gingerbread Man came closer the
fox gobbled him up.
Gingerbread Cowboy
Once upon a time there was a
rancher and his wife. The wife
decided to make a gingerbread
cowboy. She put him in the oven.
When the rancher smelled the
delicious smell, he opened the
oven and out jumped the
gingerbread cowboy. He said,
“Giddyup, Giddyup. You can’t
catch me. I am the Gingerbread
Cowboy.”
He outran the rancher and his
wife and ran by a roadrunner,
lizard and longhorn. He yelled,
“Giddyup, giddyup! You can’t
catch me. I’m the Gingerbread
Cowboy.”
He came to a big river and
there he met a coyote. The coyote
said, “Hurry! Jump on my back and
I will take you across the river.”
The Gingerbread cowboy jumped
onto the coyote’s back. The
coyote said, “Get onto my nose
the water is high.” The
Gingerbread Cowboy got onto his
